Default What is the latest version?

What is the most recent version of MF Gold? I decided it would be a good idea to crash my server over the weekend, right after I installed an update to MF. Now I need to know if my restored back-up caught the update or not.

Hal, when you have a new installation file for the new updates is it possible to name them with the current number?

V2009.6, Craig, uploaded on 8/30/2009. Click here for the links. Actually, we've uploaded some minor revisions since then with the same version number. Very minor: Things like allowing all upper-case entries for the name of custom products, etc.

Good point about incorporating the version number in the name of the setup files. We'll use MFSetupS_2009_10 (October 2009) for the commercial release.

Thanks for the tip.

Default New install

I am going to install the program for the first time on a Mac, just waiting for Windows XP and Fusion (VM Ware) to arrive. Is it possible to install MF on two computers here in the office and have one be the base unit where all the quotes are stored? There are two of us that do the quoting.
Thanks,
Marshall

Hi Marshall,

While we've tested and verified Morning Flight on Intel Macs, we've never installed it on VM equipped machines. I'll be interested to learn about your results.

A number of users have MF running on multiple computers. You'll find several posts on networking on the old forum, with the following two being the most informative:

http://www.morningfiles.com/multi_us...ccounting.html
http://www.morningfiles.com/networki...ation_abi.html

I should point that current versions of the program are not supported for use on networks. The main issues are spelled out in our on-line help system for the Free Edition:

http://www.morningflighthelp.com/run...a_network.html

Setting MF up on multiple Macs will definitely be pushing the envelope.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Clive,

Very much so, literally. The brakes are off and we're on the takeoff roll, ready to rotate.

Here is the link for downloading upgrades:

There have been quite a few changes since V2009.3 (digital envelopes, digital carbonless, unbound booklet projects). Definitely worth your time to upgrade. As always, be sure to back up your data files before you do.

Cheers,
