Hi Hal hope you had a good weekend now the hardwork begins again.
Just entered a booklet order 72 pp b&w inners and a 4pp cmyk cover all printed digital (that magic word for screwing up the program ) anyway set the covers to print 2 up A3 no problem also set the inners the same and even ticked the insert box all is fine till i save the order then it tells me there are too many pages. I can correct this by running the inner 1 up so at some point it looks as though the insert button is missing something.
Happy Monday

Hi Clive,
Had a great weekend, thanks for asking. I wasn't working, but only because I'm lucky enough to not consider what I'm doing working, so I guess I'm not working today either.
Anyway, I moved your post to keep us from going off-topic. Since you downloaded the Gold after February 4, you should not be getting the "too many pages" error message. You should be getting some error message, but not that one. See the announcement (http://www.mymorningflight.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38) about the bug fix. Could be we're running into a translation problem (Morning Flight uses two separate "English" files to account for different spellings - Color versus Colour etc.).
But there's another issue here. When you designate any content container as an insert and then run it x-up, you're actually running the same piece x-up, rather than running x-number of different pages on the same signature. Here is an excerpt from the latest booklet video: (http://www.screencast.com/users/MorningFlight/folders/Default/media/e99cbd1d-260e-4aae-8bf0-000461d5bc7c)
"So what’s an insert, and how do we enter it? Inserts are reply cards, carbonless forms, things that don’t meet the criteria for a standard bookpage. You can designate any container as an insert by checking this box. Two things happen when you do that. First, you’re now free to pick any size, and second, you’re locking in the page count: Four pages for saddle and perfect bound booklets, two pages for spiral, wire, and GBC. With standard bookpages, when you double the press sheet, you double the page count."
If you can tell me what size and type of booklet you're trying to enter, I'll try to duplicate the problem.
All the best,
Clive Jaques

Clive,
I tried to duplicate the error you're getting, but without success. Which, in this case, is a good thing. Follow the screen captures and see whether that solves your problem. I'm assuming you're not trimming the booklets.
