Mailing Services

Wide Format is easily the most asked for new feature for Morning Flight. Greater merchandise functionality ranks a close second. Both are under development. What we're not working on (but are being asked for regularly) is mailing services.

Any thoughts? Should basic mailing and data warehousing be an area we should look at? And if you're offering that service now, what software are you using to price and manage it?

YEEESSSSSS!!!!!! PLEASE ADD MAILING SERVICES!!!!😄 Currently, I'm using MF to price mailing! Variable Data under each press is used for setting up the files to merge in the RIP and it adds a small premium to the run since we have to pay special attention to the order of the printed sheets. I also use it for numbering jobs. In My Prepress, I have a NCOA/CASS charge and one for Presorting. I wish MF would display Prepress in Acknowledgments and Estimates so my customer would know. In My Postpress I have Tabbing, Insert and Seal, and Deliver to Local PO. There are a few other mail related services I charge for but that is the most frequent type of mail job I do.
