Hal,
How difficult would it be to include an option to print a box label? This is not the same as a packing slip. What I mean is a label that would include the customer information and Job name with a line for the Qty. to be written in by the binder as they are finishing the order. Maybe an option to be able include notes might be nice as well???

Craig, that is an awesome idea! The label could also say something like, "For reorders, please...." or "Please reference this job number when reordering." (and it would print the reorder number). Oooooor it could maybe say, "Please reorder before this box becomes empty, moron.":D No seriously, it could say, "Please reorder before this box is empty to avoid rush charges." I could do this all day long... The only problem I could foresee is having to dedicate a paper drawer to the label stock and having a separate print window in MF that would default to that drawer (so you wouldn't have to change the printer in MF all the time). It would probably be simplest for everyone to just print it out like a deliver ticket and then use packing tape to apply the "label" to the box/package. Or do what I do and keep scrap pieces of mounting adhesive to apply to the back of paper to make your own instant sticker!

The packing slip has most of what you ask for Craig. It gives you the job count and info. Looks like you want a per box count. maybe just add the words box count.
I would like to print it with out doing an invoice. I like the packing slip. It looks so clean on the box. I hate to do a invoice just to use it though.

Jerry,
You say "Packing Slip" I do not see that. only Delivery Note and Shipping Label. The delivery note is for someone to sign for when delivered, the shipping label only show both addresses for shipping, no other information. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything Craig. Delivery Note was formerly known as Packing Slip. It got changed with v2010.3. Come to think of it, I may have requested that change?

Not at all difficult, Craig. The only kicker is what Keith mentioned, how to print it! Selecting the printer can be done from within MF, but drawers and such are a function of specific print drivers, which in turn are managed by the OS.
Last I checked, self-adhesive label prices (Mactac) went through the roof during the last oil crisis a few years back and never came back. Even if we design the label 2-up on an 8-1/2x11 sheet, chances are half the sheet will go to waste most of the time.
Other than that, nothing stands in the way.

You did have a hand in it, Keith, but the revision originated in the U.K.

It's always refreshing when the same terminology works on both sides of the Atlantic!
Happy New Year to everyone.

I would not be against printing it on plain paper and taping it to the box. As a matter of fact it would be just as easy and fast as pealing off the backer from the PS sheet.
