How can I increase the page count of signatures?

The answer: Increase the size of the press sheet. To quote a 16-page signature for an 8.5x11 size book, set the press sheet to 23x35. Morning Flight will assume you intend to run a 16-page signature, not the same 8.5x11 size sheet 8-up.

Along the same lines, when you double the size of the press sheet for the front cover of a GBC/spiral/wire bound book, the program will disable the back cover. The assumption here is that you'll be running both covers on the same sheet, not the front cover 2-up on one sheet, and the back cover 2-up on another.

D4/1 4P for the Cover shows that both covers are coming out of the same 11x17 size sheet (two pages for the front, two for the back), with 'D' standing for Digital.

1/1 16P for the Contents represents a 16-page signature, black ink front and back, printed by Offset. The icon to the right tells us the ink is black, not a color. The number two in front means there are two same-spec signatures in the book, for a total of 32 pages. Adding the four pages for the covers makes it 36.
